Order of the Eastern Star

Grand Chapter of British Columbia and Yukon

            The Jurisdiction of British Columbia and Yukon covers an area
of  1, 431, 250 square kilometres;

or 552,609 square miles.

It is 5.85 times the size of Great Britain;
1½ times the size of Ontario;
Twice the size of Texas;
or 3½ times the size of California

    In this Jurisdiction, we have one Chapter in the Yukon Territory, and there are forty-eight Chapters in towns and cities throughout
      British Columbia; in the interior, the lower mainland, and on Vancouver Island -
      with a total of  three thousand, two hundred and nineteen members.

This year Worthy Grand Matron, Sister Carmen Pierce has selected the local Transition Houses, Safe Homes
and Second Stage Housing to be recipients of her Special Project.
Funds raised by each Chapter will go to shelters in their own local area, and perhaps raise Chapters'
Order of the Eastern Star profile, a little bit more, there.

Always put yourself in other peoples' shoes.
