Since 1980, Crescent Chapter #10 has donated cupcakes for the Canada Day festivities in Nanaimo. Held this year at Maffeo Sutton Park, over 1200 cupcakes were given out over 1.5 hours. Sharon Chapter #4 Ladysmith also came out to help.
