This years Hands Across The Border was hosted by the Grand Chapter of British Columbia & Yukon. The event took place at the Penticton Lakeside Resort & Conference Centre in Penticton with the theme “Northern Lights Gold Rush Trail”.
There where 168 people attending from the Grand Chapters of Alberta, British Columbia & Yukon, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. We had 64 people register from British Columbia & Yukon, some for the first which was exciting to see.
There was Glamour, Glitz, and Gold throughout the room with a buzz of excitement and laughter that at times was hard to quiet the crowd down to hear what was to happen during the evening.
We had 17 tables hosted by Members of British Columbia & Yukon who were fantastic hosts, welcoming those at and around their tables.
Each jurisdiction supplied 2 table centres for the tables, the balance was provided by the organizing hosts and given away as door prizes.
There were Welcomes, Introductions, Dinner, followed by entertainment for the evening which was performed by each jurisdiction.
We had skits of a Schoolroom quiz, Pink Lodge, Horse racing, Left-Right Card Exchange game, so we ended up with a note card to write to a new friend, then a Cowboy sing-along to dress up like a cowboy. The entertainment provided cheers and laughter.
Next years Hands Across The Border will be held in Lewiston, Idaho on May 2, 2026.
