Ypres Chapter is doing a few ‘pop-up’ social events that also support the activities our members are involved with in their lives outside of OES. A small group of us visited the Midsomer Festival sponsored by the Scandanavian Center in Burnaby. Sister Laura is always busy there as a volunteer and she and Murdina are always in the barbecue pit with the salmon! Sister Leslie and her daughter were volunteering at the inside Concession – serving delicious meatballs. The other four of us, including our WM Lynn, went just for fun. We wandered the grounds and even got to dress up like wild, ferocious Vikings! A lot of fun was had by all!
